WEEE Service
The recast WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 24 July 2012. Member States shall bring into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with this Directive by 14 February 2014. The WEEE Directive aims to minimize the environmental impact of the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment by making manufacturers, resellers and importers responsible for collection, reuse, recycling and recovery of such waste. From 15 August 2018, all EEE shall be classified within the categories set out in Annex III. Annex IV contains a non-exhaustive list of EEE which falls within the categories set out in Annex III (open scope). Recast of WEEE directive will expand recovery and recycling targets for electrical and electronic equipments. Member States shall ensure that producers meet the minimum targets set out in Annex V.
