TAIPEI, Dec. 22, 2023 – Allion Labs, a Connectivity Standards Alliance authorized test laboratory for Matter, today announced Panasonic Life Solutions India, a global leader in consumer electronics, obtained Matter 1.2 certification for Room Air Conditioner powered by Miraie, making it the first of its kind. This milestone achievement demonstrates the company’s commitment to delivering a new level of convenience and efficiency to customers through cutting-edge technology and a successful collaboration between Panasonic and Allion Labs. Starting February 2024, the Panasonic range of Air Conditioners equipped with Matter protocol will be available across all leading outlets and e-commerce platforms in India right before the summer season.
Matter is a groundbreaking standard that enables seamless interoperability and secure connectivity among smart devices. It sets the foundation for a smart home ecosystem where devices from different manufacturers can effortlessly work together, offering consumers a more convenient and integrated living experience. The Matter 1.2 certification adds support for additional device types, including room air conditioners. The update broadens the scope of smart home automation, extending it to a more comprehensive smart home ecosystem.

With this certification, Panasonic’s Room Air Conditioner seamlessly integrates into the Matter ecosystem, enabling users to control and monitor their air conditioning units from any Matter-enabled device, such as smart speakers, smartphones, tablets, and more.

Consumers can control their Matter-enabled air conditioners through the Miraie app, an innovative platform designed to enhance the connected living experience. Miraie’s compatibility with Matter reflects Panasonic’s commitment to providing consumers with a futureproof, smart and connected experience to enhance daily living. In the near future with Miraie, users can seamlessly control and monitor a wide range of smart appliances, including air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and more irrespective of the brand.
